Governmental Disputes and Lawsuits

The Ajman Government Legal Affairs Department, according to Emiri Decree No. (3) of 2018, is responsible for handling all matters related to lawsuits and disputes in which the government or government agencies in the Emirate of Ajman are a party. The department undertakes the following tasks: Receive complaints and lawsuits against the government or government agencies, and seek to settle them amicably Receiving requests received from the government or government agencies regarding filing claims against third parties, and seeking to settle them amicably in accordance with the procedures approved by the Department in this regard. Representing the government and government agencies in the cases to which it is a party, and carrying out all necessary legal procedures in that case before the competent judicial authorities of all types and degrees, including special judicial committees, conciliation and arbitration committees and centers, until a final judgment is issued in them.
